Privacy
This website is Kevin Bai’s professional portfolio. For privacy questions, contact Kevin by email.
Optional LinkedIn analytics
When LinkedIn analytics is enabled on this site, it loads only after you accept the tracking notice. LinkedIn uses cookies and collects visit information such as the page URL, referring page, IP address, browser and device characteristics, and visit time. This helps Kevin understand the professional audience visiting the site through aggregate reports such as job titles, companies, and industries. These reports do not disclose individual visitors’ names to Kevin.
LinkedIn may also use this information for advertising measurement and personalization under its Privacy Policy. See LinkedIn’s explanation of the Insight Tag for its data handling and retention practices.
You can decline tracking and still use the website and chatbot. Use Tracking preferences in the footer of a tracked page to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops further loading of the tag; it does not erase data already sent to LinkedIn or necessarily remove existing LinkedIn cookies. You can also clear cookies using your browser settings. The site honors Global Privacy Control by keeping the tag disabled.
Your tracking choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. If you clear browser storage or use a different browser, the site asks again. No tracking tag loads on this privacy page. This integration does not send chatbot message text as custom analytics events.
Chatbot conversations
The chatbot uses OpenAI to process messages. Kevin can review conversations in a private database for 90 days after their last activity. Avoid sharing sensitive information. Blocked or unchecked messages may be retained for private review.
The browser stores the displayed conversation, conversation ID, draft, and pending request in tab-scoped session storage so you can continue when switching pages. New chat resets the browser session; it does not delete the server’s records. Closing the browser tab ends the browser session, subject to your browser’s session restoration behavior.
Requests to OpenAI disable stored Responses API state. OpenAI’s applicable abuse-monitoring retention still applies; see OpenAI’s data controls.
